West Jersey Quaker Meetings |
This is a collection of Quaker Meeting House images located more or less within the bounds of West Jersey. Most of the pictures are new and some, regrettably, aren’t that good. Also, the collection is currently incomplete. That will change over time as additional meetings are photographed and some are re-visited and re-shot. Furthermore, we intend to start adding historical images, some HABS images, and other related material (like short histories of each meeting). This will take a while. Some locations will only have site photos and some may just have text. We’ll do what we can. We have also added a column for Meetings in East Jersey. There aren't very many Meetings there and we figured we'd add them for completeness and comparison. We'll add others as we find them. As usual, we’d appreciate any help we can get. So, if you’d like to contribute to this effort please let us know.
Some other sites with images of early meetings include Joe Laufer’s Quaker Meetinghouses of Burlington County web site and The New Jersey Churchscape site.
The Project wishes to gratefully acknowledge the assistance of Gary Edwards, Carl Letsche and especially Charles Feiler for their assistance with this section of the site.
